Project Overview
The Water Clock is a moody, atmospheric short film selected for the UNO Film Festival and Louisiana International Film Festival in 2019 . The story follows two young sisters navigating emotional loss and familial fragmentation—evoked through carefully crafted set environments and symbolic practical elements.

Creative Direction & Set Design
Concept Development: Collaborated closely with director Amy Laws to conceptualize environments that subtly reflect the characters' internal emotional landscapes—combining motifs of water, time, and transience.

Physical Builds: Designed and constructed all set pieces—from aging interior spaces to water-centric prop installations—ensuring that each element served narrative and emotional intent.

Aesthetic Cohesion: Oversaw finishing details and set dressing to maintain a consistent visual tone: muted color palettes, tactility, and tactile realism that mirrored the film’s themes.

On-Set Realization: Worked hands-on during filming, adapting constructions on location, managing practical effects, and ensuring continuity between design vision and camera framing.

Impact on Narrative
Your design work gave the film its poetic visual identity: every set detail—from water-stained floors to weathered paper props—became part of the storytelling. The environments you built grounded the narrative’s emotional tension and added authenticity, helping audiences feel the sisters' vulnerability and longing.
